Ferrari’s foursome

Ferrari’s new four wheel drive four seater

A neighbour of mine until recently possessed two matching Ferrrari vehicles that bear the number plates “GAF 1” and “GFA 1.” A month or so ago, though, he replaced one of the vehicles with the new Ferrari FF.

The exterior of the Ferrari FF

The FF is a truly stunning car that is a true innovation on the part of Ferrari in that it is both four-wheel drive and a four seater. Priced at £227,077, has a seven speed dual clutch automatic transmission that makes it as good in the city as on the open road and can accelerate from 0 – 62 mph in just 3.7 seconds. Capable of achieving a maximum speed of 208 mph, the FF has ample space to fit a bike or carry enough luggage for a weekend away.

The Ferrari FF’s stylish interior

Conceived as a replacement for the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti and designed by Pininfarina, this is a V12 car that features the company’s first ever four-wheel drive system. This, however, is patented technology that is impressive that it weighs some 50 per cent less than a conventional four-wheel drive system.

As racing driver John Surtees OBE once said: “If he can’t do it with Ferrari, well, he can’t do it.” This Ferrari certainly is very much of the “can do” variety.

This is Ferrari's best idea yet.

I commented that I thought that Aston Martin shooting brake would be ideal for me and my kids (though I was worried about damaging the wheels when parking) but this is half the price. What a bargain. I'll take two.
